FAITH + CONSISTENCY + HARDWORK = FORMULA FOR SUCCESS

SUCCESS FORMULA PIC

The road to success is not that one (1) straight line that we all think it is, it is rough, it is rugged, and full of ups and downs. It is a road that tests you to the very core, tests your beliefs, tests your values, tests your relationships, tests your friends, success tests every aspect of your life. SO……what would be the best formula, that would help tackle all these?

1) HAVE FAITH:
One needs to have faith in (i) GOD and (ii) YOUR DREAM.

(i) FAITH IN GOD: [proverbs 3:5] “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding:”

The truth is, you will be faced with many many many challenges on your path to success. You will need a steady, strong and mighty Hand to guide you through the successes and the failures. At every stage of your success, dynamics will change, some friends will abandon you, some will try and bring you down, there are those who will be envious, there are those who will try and steal from you. There also times when you will be discouraged, because, the vision or the goal you had in your head, is not turning out the way you thought it would be. In all these times, you will need to cast ALL your burdens on to Jesus!

(ii) FAITH IN YOUR DREAM: At the first stages of your journey to success, there will be a time that only YOU sees your dream, believes in your dream, sees the possibilities in your dreams. At this time, your dreams will need YOU to believe in THEM. For only then, can you be willing to put in your all, to sacrifice your all, to risk your all, to give up your all, for the sake of your dream. If you have doubts about your dream, if your have questions about your dream, then your dream will remain just that, A DREAM!

“Do all you can to make your dreams come true.” – Joel Osteen

2) CONSISTENCY:
Whenever you have a job interview, or are ready to get a new job, the one thing we all do is, update our resume. We add the new job experiences we have had, the new professional certifications we have achieved, the many projects we have been fortunate to be a part of.

A resume, is very important to you, but more so, to your potential employers. It shows him/her, how consistent you have been in achieving your growth, in being the valuable asset that you will be to the company. A resume gives a great snap shot of how much effort, determination and hard work you have put in to be as good as you are.

Consistency is key; to be successful, you will have to put in 100% of your blood, sweat and tears, every day! You have heard, that it is easier to get to the top, but much more harder to stay at the top. How long you stay at the top, is determined by how CONSISTENTLY you continue to push yourself. There is no let up, there is not time to relax, to maintain your edge, there will be not off days.

[1 Cor 15:58] “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord”

3) HARD WORK:
[Prov 14:23] “In all toil there is profit, but mere talk tends only to poverty.”

“A dream doesn’t become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination and hard work.” – Colin Powell

A lot has been said about hard work. There is not much that I can add to hard work, you just have to put in the work. Simple (I think?)

“Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard”

GOD BLESS YOU ALL

  1. This was a great read!
I always say that anybody can dream a dream but only a few have the courage to act on it. God is the giver of dreams and He will provide you with the resources to make it happen.
